Veronica Thomas

Founder & CEO

I've held a wide variety of positions in my career progressing from Editorial Assistant to Executive Director and working in a wide range of settings including investment banking, publishing, not-for-profit, and higher education.

While in higher education, I worked my way up from an Account Manager managing a portfolio of key executive education accounts to Executive Director overseeing more than a hundred executive education, undergraduate and graduate programs. It was during my 13+ years working in higher education, that I had a “eureka” moment. I discovered what I was born to do—lead through serving, teaching, and mentoring.

This mindset guides every client interaction and every project. For me, leading in education is about, first and foremost, serving people—namely educators, students, and my teammates—then inspiring transformation by expanding the imagination in others for what is possible, and making sure they are equipped with the tools and skillsets to go from imagination to vision to action.

While I believe there’s nothing wrong per se with efficiency and scalability, when it comes to learning and development, efficacy is what really matters. Leadership mentor and former senior pastor, Rev. Edmund Chan, defines efficacy as “Doing the right thing at the right time in the right way with the right motive to produce the right result.”

And that’s what we deliver at It’s Edumentary—the right solution at the right time in the right way to produce the right teaching and learning results.
